PhotoKTM 6

PhotoKTM is a small biennial photo festival based in Kathmandu, Nepal, that brings together visual practitioners, researchers, educators and cultural organisers particularly from across Southasia, to explore the political lives of images and their place in shaping histories and futures. PhotoKTM is organized by photo.circle which is a community and platform of photographers and other visual practitioners based in Kathmandu. photo.circle also runs Nepal Picture Library which is a digital archive dedicated to documenting, researching and disseminating Nepali social and cultural history.


𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗞𝗧𝗠 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.This year, PhotoKTM6 brings together incredible works from artists across the Global South.

Exhibitions run till 𝗗𝗲𝗰 𝟭𝟰, open and free to all, daily from 𝟭𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟲 𝗣𝗠.


Come explore 𝟭𝟰 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 works at 𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 and our 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗽-𝘂𝗽𝘀 moving across 4 locations in Kathmandu Valley over the next 4 weeks.

1. Entry:

Entry is restricted to individuals aged 18 and above.

A valid government-issued ID must be presented at the gate.


2. Prohibited Items:

Outside food, beverages, drugs, and weapons are strictly prohibited.


3. Safety:

The organizers reserve the right to deny entry or remove individuals deemed a safety concern.

By entering, attendees consent to bag checks and pat-downs for security purposes.


4. Photography and Media:

The event may be recorded or photographed. By attending, you consent to be featured in any event media used for promotional purposes.


5. Cancellations:

The organizers reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event in case of unforeseen circumstances. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed at the discretion of the organizers.


6. Liability:

The organizers are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to personal property during the event.


7. Compliance:

Attendees must follow all instructions from event staff and adhere to venue rules.

1. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

2. The event ticket must be presented for entry. Lost tickets will not be reissued.
